The COuncil
President: Emerald Hue
Hi! I'm a friendly introvert who greatly values alone time but also enjoys forming and building connections with people. Some things I enjoy are shuffle dancing, creating outfits, and eating really good food. Growing up, I neglected my feelings and kept most issues to myself since I didn't have any resources or people to go to. The topic of mental health was often neglected until recently, so I'm really grateful for being able to have the BC2M club here at Westmoor as it's an opportunity for other students to talk about and promote mental well-being. Quick reminder: You and your mental health are so very important!

Vice President: Sarah Sandoval
I’m very passionate about mental health, mental illnesses, and self-care. Mental health is so important to me because I have family members who deal with mental illnesses, and I am familiar with how hard it can be to feel “normal”. Sometimes, I get so busy trying to take care of everyone else that I forget about myself and my sanity. I know many people can relate to that feeling, kudos to you, because I know it’s not easy. I’ve learned that a big part of healing and growing as a person is taking life a day at a time. Taking care of your well-being does not make you a bad person and putting yourself before others at times doesn’t make you a bad person! ❤️
Co-Vice President: Rachel Yu
I enjoy being creative and making new things. My stance on mental health: I believe that everyone should have more knowledge on mental health in general, since a lot of time media only shows half truths or basically lies about mental health. I want to help people understand that there is more to someone then their mental health issues and even then mental health issues should not be something they’re afraid of having, because it is a human trait to have issues. No one is perfect and that is ok, and some times it is ok just to be no ok.

Treasurer: Nathan Fung
Yo. My name is Nathan, but you can call me Nate. I enjoy playing baseball, running, and eating 5 bowls of cereal consecutively. Eventually, I believe that everyone needs a hand. Mental health is something that should be thought of positively and should be appreciated. Being aware about mental health is an important thing that everyone should have. Bringing change and awareness about mental health is what we do here. However, it’s your choice to do something about your own mental health.
Advisor: Ms. Phrani
My name is Ms. Phrani. I am the club advisor of BC2M. I am the School Social Worker at Westmoor High School, in Daly City, a place where the students are the most respectful and genuine caring young people I have ever worked with. The community is challenged when it comes to Mental Health. Parents are afraid of it, students are uncomfortable to talk about it, and the expectations to strive for the best are high. BC2M has helped a growing group of young people spread their wings and shower support on to the Westmoor population. I am honored and proud to be a part of it.
